Rental agreement
These terms apply to every rental from ShutterKit Ltd (“we”, “us”). By confirming a booking you (“the renter”) agree to them.
Booking and payment
- A booking is confirmed when payment of the rental charge and security deposit has been received.
- Bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the collection date. Later cancellations are charged one day’s rental per item.
Collection and return
- A rental day runs from 12.00 am to 12.00 am the next day. Each calendar day booked counts as one full day; equipment returned after midnight on the last day is charged a further day.
- The renter must present the photo ID given at booking. We may refuse to release equipment if the ID does not match.
- Equipment must be returned in the condition it was supplied, clean and with all accessories and cases.
Deposit, loss and damage
- The security deposit is refunded within three working days of the equipment passing its return inspection.
- Late returns, missing items and damage are deducted from the deposit. Any balance above the deposit is payable within 7 days.
- Our insurance covers accidental damage with a Rs. 75,000 excess per item. Loss, theft and negligent damage are charged at the replacement value shown on the equipment page.
Use
- Equipment must not be lent, sub-let or taken outside Sri Lanka without our written agreement.
- Drone renters are responsible for complying with Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) rules and holding the required registration and permits.
